Our Legacy

As members of one of North India’s well-known and renowned business legacies, the Shri Ram family, the Founders of SRF Foundation believe that having a purpose in life is essential.
The Chairman’s grandfather, Sir Shri Ram, recognised that “Only education can open the doors of prosperity”, and help to alleviate inequality.
He established the Shri Ram College of Commerce (SRCC) in 1926.
In an era when societal norms restricted women’s freedom to pursue their dreams, Sir Shri Ram took a groundbreaking step by establishing one of India’s few All-Women colleges – the Lady Shri Ram College for Women (LSR) in 1956. He also established The Shri Ram Research Institute. In 1970, inspired by Sir Shri Ram’s legacy, SRF Ltd. was born.
The establishment was started by the Chairman’s father, Padma Bhushan Late Dr Bharat Ram and the Chairman, Mr. Arun Bharat Ram.
Over the past 50 years, SRF Ltd. has evolved into an Indian multinational enterprise with diverse businesses and market-leading brands, fashioned by a robust R&D unit and footprints across the globe. SRF Foundation forms the corporate social responsibility (CSR) arm of SRF Ltd.
SRF Foundation currently runs one of the most extensive community programs in the country. It provides education and vocational training to underprivileged children and youth by enhancing infrastructure facilities in Government schools, promoting computer-aided learning, and facilitating digital inclusion within communities.
The Shri Ram Schools (TSRS), established in 1988 by Padma Shri, Late Mrs. Manju Bharat Ram are also run by the family. With three physical campuses in Delhi NCR, TSRS promotes a system of progressive and inclusive education, which keeps the child at the heart of everything. With an emphasis on promoting a global outlook yet retaining intrinsic Indian cultural traditions, the schools have been featured among the Best Day Schools in the country.
SRF Vidyalaya has two schools supported by SRF Ltd. located in Manali, Chennai and Gurugram, Haryana in India. These schools aim to bring quality education to children belonging to economically weaker sections of society through a unique curriculum that facilitates active learning.
Shri Educare Limited (SEL), established in 2008, aims to combine the pedagogical strengths of The Shri Ram Schools & SEL’s academic team to support and develop quality education establishments in the K -12 sector spanning India and abroad.
