Shri Arun Bharat Ram is the Chairman of The Shri Ram Schools. As Chairman Emeritus at SRF Ltd., Arun Bharat Ram mentors and guides the management in relation to business strategy, corporate governance-related matters and in nurturing relationships with external consortiums on policy matters and brand building of the company.

A third-generation entrepreneur, Arun Bharat Ram started his career with the textile division of DCM Ltd. in late 1966. At DCM, he identified high growth potential in the textile industry and founded SRF Ltd. in 1970 – a nylon tyre cord manufacturer. He is credited with turning his family-owned multi-business organisation into a world-class conglomerate.

Presently, SRF’s business portfolio covers Fluorochemicals, Specialty Chemicals, Packaging Films, Technical Textiles, and Coated and Laminated Fabrics. Anchored by a strong workforce of 7,000+ employees working across eleven manufacturing plants in India, and one each in Thailand, South Africa and Hungary, the company is exporting to more than 90 countries.
